Fleur Hill commission new Burnham Market village map by renowned local artist

A new village map has been installed in Burnham Market, designed by local artist Andrew Ruffhead. The new map was sponsored by the Hoste hotel and is situated near to the new retail courtyard, Foundry Place, which was developed by Fleur Hill.

Fleur Hill commissioned the new map after they found Burnham Market to be lacking in tourist information. Brendan Hopkins, owner of The Hoste hotel and spa, said “The Hoste were delighted to sponsor this charming interpretation of Burnham Market village.

“A lot of thought was given to how much should be included such as roads, footpaths, churches, shops, delicatessens and hostelries. The map has been designed to help visitors find their way around and make the most of all there is to see in this beautiful, historic village.”

The article was featured in the EDP’s newsbite section.

EDP – A big splash for Foundry Field

Foundry Field recently made a double page spread in the EDP’s Property section. Editor, Caroline Culot, first visited Foundry Field back in July 2015, when only Plot 1 existed and the rest was a building site.  One year on things are very different – as Caroline discovered. Full of enthusiasm about the new homes and the attractive landscaping, Caroline clearly views the emerging ‘village within a village’  as a very lovely spot to call home.

Celebratory Tea Party

Earlier this month, the sun shone on Fleur Hills Celebratory Tea Party to mark the completion of Patternmakers Close at Foundry Field. With 50 guests enjoying the quintessentially English street party, there was a wonderful sense of community spirit.

The celebration also enabled the growing number of Foundry Field residents to meet and introduce themselves. Many came early and stayed for the afternoon, simply enjoying the lovely atmosphere.

8 beautiful homes are still available. Our Show Home is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5.30pm. Contact Susie Hamilton on 01328 293110 or susie.hamilton@sowerbys.com.

Official opening of the Foundry Place Car Park

It was smiles all round earlier this month, when MP Sir Henry Bellingham officially opened the Foundry Place Car Park in Burnham Market. Built as a gift to the village by Fleur Hill – and much appreciated by residents – the car park benefits the whole community by alleviating traffic congestion.

Sir Henry Bellingham was clearly impressed by the car park when he commented, “It is probably the most attractive and well built car park in the country.”

Norfolk Country Councillor Richard Bird, who was also in attendance, added, ‘This means so much to the people here. It has been in the offing for more than 30 years…Fleur Hill is just fantastic.’
